The team member at WhitePeak was engaged by the World Bank for the project Vietnam National Target Programme (NTP) for New Rural Development and Sustainable Poverty Reduction. The project planned to conduct value chain analysis of selected commodities in Vietnam and to develop Agribusiness & Market Diagnostics for World Bank Vietnam. A significant amount of academic literature, government statistical data, and alternate research sources were analysed, to create an accurate and comprehensive document for the client, which consisted of: 

• An extensive study of performance of Value Chain nodes such as - Research & Development, agri-inputs supply, production & post-production, processing, and distribution & marketing
• A thorough analysis of agri-business value chains in Vietnam for non-traditional commodities such as - Curcumin and Coriander, and traditional commodities such as - Coffee, Rice, Banana, Maize and Soybean
• Identifying the challenges and constraints in both the traditional and non-traditional value chains and its impact on the overall agri-business environment
• Studying and analyzing the constraints in the value chain, and providing recommendations that could be adopted to overcome these challenges
