Zambia Integrated Forest Landscape Project

The World Bank initiated "Zambia Integrated Forest Landscape Project", which aims to improve rural livelihoods in Zambia’s Eastern Province through climate-smart interventions in the agriculture, forest, and wildlife sectors. The Project Development Objective (PDO) is “to improve landscape management and increase environmental and economic benefits for targeted rural communities in the Eastern Province and to provide immediate and effective response to an eligible crisis or emergency”. The team members at WhitePeak were engaged by the World Bank, to contribute to the Mid Term Evaluation of the ‘Zambia Integrated Forest Landscape Project', by formulating an Aide-Memoire for Mid-Term Review. A through review of project documents along with active participation in the virtual missions was undertaken.  The final document consisted of: 

• Assessment of the progress made so far in achieving the project's objective 
• Identification of key challenges faced by project responsible for delay in project activities
• Proposed changes that would be needed for the project to ensure smooth implementation until its closing
