Strategic Review of FAO Microbanker

The team at WhitePeak was engaged by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

(UN FAO) Thailand, to conduct a strategic review of the five plausible options for a sustainable

MicroBanker (also known as MBWin) and its future business prospects. The assessment of the

current status and value proposition were studied using both qualitative and quantitative techniques

of data collection. Primary research was conducted through Key Informant Interviews and surveys

and the data was collected, analyzed, and presented in the report. The final deliverable included:

• A detailed description of the history of the MicroBanker project and its current clientele
• A comprehensive evaluation of options for MBWIN five future operations including due-diligence of the project such as the analysis of financial scenario, business prospects, risks, sustainability of the projects if separated
• Value Proposition of the software to its various users, the reasons why clients chose
• MicroBanker, factors leading to operational efficiency of the Microfinance Institutions followed by a detailed description of Potential Gaps and various case studies of Success Stories.
• A comparative analysis of the MicroBanker with three similar software in terms of functionality, prices and other factors
