Agri-horticulture Transformation: North East Region, India

The team member at WhitePeak was engaged by World Bank India to research for areas of collaboration of World Bank in North-East India. This was carried out through rigorous secondary research. The objective of the assignment to develop a strategic deck that highlights possible collaboration between NE states and the World Bank. The final deliverables and work included:
- Prepared deck on the macroeconomic status of NER, identify constraints and opportunities in the Horticulture sector, specifically Ginger and Turmeric through rigorous desk research
- Based on opportunities of the region, identified possible areas of focus for the Horticulture sector, that could play an important role in rural transformation in the NER of India. Special focus on increase in income of the population of participating NE states by enhancing the competitiveness of agri-horticulture in individual states and benefits to smallholder farmers, small-scale processors, traders, and agri-entrepreneurs

He is an Engineer from NIT Jaipur and an MBA from KTH Sweden (Erasmus Mundus Scholar).
